This year’s Open Studios art event in the beautiful village of Gaucín will take place from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 May and from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 June.

This event goes from strength to strength, and visitors come from far and wide to visit the studios, talk to the artists and watch them at work.

Taking part this year will be well-known names on the local art scene including Belén Montero, Rosie Venables, Chris Klees, Sara Webb, Caroline Gullick, Sue Callister, Michael Roschlau, Nozomi Hatano, Lesley Riddihough, Vivienne Whiffen, Jennifer Waterhouse, Paddy Robinson, Emma Cornish, Sebastian Fisher, Sian Faber, Juan Antonio Sangil, J. Sánchez Zabaleta, Anna Pellón, Tim Parry and Stephanie Thompson.

The Open Studios weekends are a perfect opportunity to keep up to date with the latest works of art, photography, sculpture, ceramics and textiles in the unique setting of a picturesque village in the Serranía de Ronda. The atmosphere is relaxed, visitors can visit all the studios or choose the ones which interest them most, and there is no pressure to buy although there is certainly no lack of temptation!

All the studios are easy to find as they are pinpointed on maps which are especially printed for the occasion, and full details can also be found on the Art Gaucín website, www.artgaucin.com, or by phoning Sara Webb on (0034) 634 809 747
