You can now sign up for the Torre del Mar Carrera de Color, or 'Colour Run', which will take place on Sunday 2 April. Anyone wanting to participate can do so by going to BASE sports shops on Avenida Andalucía in Torre del Mar or Camino Antiguo de Málaga in Vélez-Málaga or via the website: www.c-i-eventosdecolor.es

The race is being organised to raise money and increase awareness of autism and coincides with World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April.

Participation costs 10 euros and money raised will go to the organisation ACTEA Axarquía, which works to raise awareness of autism in both adults and children in the area.

Those taking part will receive a gift of a small rucksack, a tshirt, sunglasses, a carrier bag and a bottle of water.

This is the second Carrera de Color to be held in Torre del Mar and organisers are expecting to attract up to 2,000 runners, overtaking last year's total of 1,400.

The five-kilometre race will be held on the running track on the beach in Torre del Mar and will start at 10.30am.

During the race runners will be sprayed with different colours at various points along the course.

The event will close on the beach with a big 'colour party', with music from SAU DJ and a zumba workshop, along with prizes and a tombola.
