A solidarity concert is to be staged at The Goya Theatre in Puerto Banús on 29 January 2017 with all proceeds going towards helping flood victims on the Costa del Sol.

The event has been spearheaded by local entertainer Steve Hughes, known locally as 'One Wish Steve'.

Steve aims to raise money to help families whose homes and possessions were destroyed during the heavy rain that drenched the coast in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The proceeds from charity gala will help to buy paint, bedding, furniture and anything else that is necessary to help these unfortunate families rebuild their lives.

Steve recently recorded a Christmas song to help cancer victims and children's charities around the world, and now he is hoping to help those whose livelihoods have been destroyed by the flooding.

The event, which will begin at 7.30pm, will involve more than twenty local musicians, singers and entertainers. Among the lineup of musicians performing will be The Memphis Trio, Dirty Little Secrets, Swings Both Ways, The Blues Stompers, Tina Hall, Nick Cripps and a surprise guest artist from the UK.

Tickets can be obtained for 10 euros in advance or 15 euros on the door.
