Malaga shone on Sunday night at La Rosaleda, with a 2-0 win that proved the players are starting to bond into a side with its own identity and clear ideas.
The Malaga we saw against visitors Girona appeared sure of what they want and what they are playing for.
They won what threatened to be a complicated match thanks to two goals from winger Paulino.
The first came just before half time and the second at the very end of stoppage time, the icing on the cake for a match played in front of a crowd of more 11,000.
The Blue and Whites were the stronger team throughout, showing their ability to climb up the table and settle in the top half (they are currently 6th, pending the result of this Monday's games).
Head coach José Alberto himself admitted that there are atill aspects to correct in a team that is still under construction, but progress is being made and it's clear that the best is yet to come.
"When we don't make mistakes, we're difficult to beat," said the coach after the match.
Malaga CF next play away at second-placed Ponferradina on Sunday 19 September.
