Members of the Malaga CF squad have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus, which should mean that they will have the maximum protection from the disease by the start of the new season.

Players eligible to receive the injection were jabbed with the single-dose Janssen vaccine at the La Roca Health Centre, the closest to the La Rosaleda stadium.

Some of the team have already received a vaccine – due to their age, while others will have to wait for a jab because they still have antibodies after overcoming the disease.

Authorities say it takes two weeks for the Janssen vaccine to take full effect, so the players should have the maximum protection ready for the start of the 21/22 season.
