The season has now come to an end and in the case of Malaga, this means that eleven first-team players are set to depart the club, in the most cases with their loan moves coming to an end.

Juan Soriano (on loan from Sevilla), Josua Mejías (on loan from Leganés), José Matos (on loan from Cadiz), Cristian (on loan from Extremadura), Joaquín (on loan from Huesca), Yanis Rahmani (on loan from Almeria), Jozabed (on loan from Celta), Caye Quintana (on loan from Cádiz), Pablo Chavarría (end of contract), Stefan Scepovic (end of contract) and Orlando Sá (retired) are all set to leave after seasons of varying success. The three standout performers, Chavarría, Jozabed and Rahmani are, however, in talks to renew.

As for the others, the club will keep a close eye on their movements and they could yet be considered options for next season, especially if they become free agents. However, the strategy depends on consistent renewal to ensure that the overall quality continues to increase.

Although an overhaul of the squad is expected once again, it won't be as profound as last summer's, as the club now has up to eleven players under contract. They are keeper Dani Barrio; defenders David Lombán, Juande, Iván Calero and Alexander González; midfielders Alberto Escassi, Luis Muñoz, Jairo Samperio and Mohamed Benkhemassa; plus the youth players assigned to the first team, such as winger Hicham and keeper Kellyan.
