The time is fast approaching when we will once again see fans in the stands of Primera and Segunda stadiums, which have not reopened since they were closed a year ago (the last game at La Rosaleda was on 8 March 2020).

The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, has announced the club association's intention that "a percentage" of the spectators will return to stadiums by the third week of April. The idea is to wait and see how the spread of the virus evolves in light of the Easter Week celebrations, after which a small upturn in cases is expected because of the increase in travel and social gatherings.

"We hope that the rise will be smaller than at Christmas and that it will allow us to return to the stadium soon," said Tebas, who fails to the see the logic in allowing some crowds for other types of leisure or events, and not for football.
