Marbella left the running for the Copa del Rey with their heads held high on Tuesday, after losing in extra time to top division side Valladolid.

Playing at home, Segunda B side Marbella, had taken the lead first at the start of the second half, thanks to a goal from Kuki. Although the locals gained confidence, Granero levelled the scores with a penalty soon after.

It looked like Valladolid's second goal from Plano would be enough to gain their ticket into the next round, until Gudiño forced the game into extra time. It was the 92nd minute when he put the ball past the Valladolid goalkeeper to make the scoreboard 2-2.

It took the visitors until minute 109 to recover their lead, knocking Marbella out of the competition with another goal from Plano.
