There may have been just 400 fans inside the Marbella municipal stadium but they made their voices heard as they chanted "Fuera! Fuera!" (Out! Out!) at coach José Manuel Aira as they fell to yet another defeat, this time against San Fernando on Sunday.
It all started so well for the Costa side. They took the lead in the fourth minute when Blanco rose highest at the near post to head home Granero's corner.
The hosts were in almost total control. However, when half time approached, San Fernando clawed their way back into the game as a result of a terrible defensive mix-up: Gerard's cross from the left made its way into the back of the net as three defenders all passed up an easy chance to hook the ball away, leaving the keeper with no chance.
Just seconds after the restart, things went from bad to worse. A long ball into the Marbella area was flicked by Ferrón over keeper Herrero, who was far from convincing in coming for the ball, to turn the game completely on its head.
By 55 minutes, Aira had already made three substitutions but nothing seemed to work in Marbella's favour.
With Marbella now sitting seventh (out of ten) in the table, the coach's future hangs firmly in the balance.
