Some of Spain's best golfers took part in the Spanish Individual Women's Championship at the Escorpión Golf Club in Bétera, Valencia, last weekend.

Young Ana Peláez from Malaga did the province proud by coming second with an impressive 68+69+72+71. After a close battle, the championship was won by Carla Bernat.

Peláez, the current holder of the Women's Individual Andalucía Cup title, showed her potential and hunger for victory right from the start.

At the beginning of the final day she was just two strokes behind Bernat but the older player didn't give in to the pressure and snatched the title at the last minute.
