This summer Marbella will miss one of its traditional events, the charity gala in aid of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), which was cancelled as a precautionary measure due to the pandemic.
Instead the association has decided to organise a golf tournament to help raise funds for its cause. It calculates that 40 per cent of its funds have been lost through cancelling the gala night.
At the official presentation at D'Antonellas Beach Club in Guadalmina on Wednesday, it was explained that the tournament will take place on Saturday 8 August at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina and the prizes will be awarded two days later at the Hotel Anantara Villa Padierna.
