Coach Víctor Sánchez del Amo and his former employers, Malaga CF, reached an agreement in court on Tuesday after the club admitted to unfair dismissal.

Víctor lost his job when a sexual video went viral after he fell victim to an alleged attempted extorsion. The club removed him from his post for the damage allegedly caused to its reputation.

However, the club has now accepted responsibility and a financial settlement has been reached. "Justice has been served," said Víctor's lawyer, Francisco Valverde.

After the hearing, which lasted less than an hour, Víctor told reporters that he was glad that the matter could be settled, stressing that dealings with the club had been a lot more amicable since the change in management at the top. "After turning their back on someone for having been a victim of crime, for me I thought it was very unfair," he said. However, Víctor admitted that he made several concessions as his way of helping the club out of the difficult financial situation it is in so that "the problems can start to be solved and that the fans can enjoy their team again".
