  • Víctor Sánchez del Amo is asking for 600,000 euros in non-material damages and as the club's lawyers didn't make a counter-offer, the case must now go to court

Former Malaga coach Víctor Sánchez del Amo’s demand for compensation from the club will now go through the courts after a meeting at the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Centres of Malaga (CMAC) on Wednesday failed to yield any results.

Víctor, who was relieved of his duties last month after an explicit sexual video was leaked in a case of extortion, is demanding 600,000 euros in non-material damages.

His lawyer, Francisco Valverde, (also representing the minority shareholders in the case against Sheikh Al-Thani), said that the meeting was “amicable”, but that no counter-offer was made by the lawyer representing Malaga CF, Álvaro Gómez, as per the instructions of his client.

“Now it’s time to file the complaint in court and wait for a trial date to be set, both for Victor’s case and that of his staff,” said Valverde, also representing Victor’s staff (David Dóniga, Nacho Oria and Carlos Morales) in a separate case.
