Garbiñe Muguruza continues to makes history this week. After becoming the first Spanish woman in twenty years to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open, the 26-year-old sealed her place in Saturday's final with a tense 7-6 (10-8) 7-5 over Romania's Simona Halep on Thursday morning.
The world number 32, who continues her recent revival, will face American Sofia Kenin in the final in Melbourne (9.30am). It will be her first appearance in a Grand Slam final since she won the Wimbledon title in 2017.
