The exodus continues at Malaga. Academy star Hugo Vallejo has left for Real Madrid, who have immediately loaned him out to Segunda rivals Deportivo La Coruña.

The 19-year-old forward was soon followed out the door by Lorenzo González, who only joined the club from Manchester City in the summer. The striker has joined Swiss outfit St Gallen.

These moves follow the recent departures of Álex Mula and Iván Rodríguez (loaned to Alcorcón and Ponferradina, respectively). Mula and Iván were two of the three players who were on Malaga's books without officially being registered this season, after a disastrous summer transfer window.

The third was José Rodríguez, whose future remains up in the air. Earlier this week, Numancia and Fuenlabrada were credited with interest but his first option was to wait to see if a future could be found for him at Malaga.

That now looks unlikely to be the case and he is closing in on a temporary move to Dutch side Fortuna Sittard.
