Local tennis prodigy Alejandro Davidovich has received a wildcard invitation to the ASB Classic, the ATP 250 tournament in Auckland (New Zealand) which starts on Monday.
The youngster, who is preparing to compete in the Australian Open, can skip the qualifying phase and will go straight into the main draw.
Davidovich, who this week climbed three places in the ATP rankings (83rd currently), was eliminated in the qualifying rounds of the ATP 250 in Doha (Qatar), losing to Mikael Ymer. This was his first tournament of the season.
The 20-year-old will be joined in New Zealand by another Next Gen talent in the form of Jannik Sinner from Italy.
