Spanish winners in both finals as the World Padel Tour Mijas Open draws to a close

  • Hispano-Brazilian duo Ale Galán and Pablo Lima came out on top of the men's final of the Cervezas Victoria Mijas Open 2019

There were Spanish winners as the World Padel Tour's latest stop in La Cala de Mijas concluded on Sunday.

Hispano-Brazilian duo Ale Galán and Pablo Lima came out on top of the men's final of the Cervezas Victoria Mijas Open 2019, the tenth round of this year's WPT, using their greater experience to see off Coki Nieto and Javi Rico - the youngest pairing to reach a final (7-6).

For their part, Alejandra Salazar from Madrid and Ariana Sánchez from Catalonia, the number two pair in the world ranking, beat Paula Josemaría from Extremadura and Ana Catarina Nogueira from Portugal in the women's final.

It was a close match but Lima and Galán maintained their unbeaten record as a pairing (seven), winning 6-4.
