Not in the squad on Wednesday were veteran Ukrainian forward Yevhen Seleznov and Argentinean central midfielder Emanuel Cecchini as both closed in on moves away from the club.
Seleznov, 34, only joined Malaga in January (from Akhisar) but failed to score in 12 outings. He was contracted until next June but with it clear that he was surplus to requirements, a mutual agreement to terminate his contract has been reached.
In Cecchini's case, the 22-year-old joined in the summer of 2017 and has played just 28 competitive minutes since, being loaned out to Club León and Banfield in consecutive seasons.
Now he is set to join MLS side Seattle Sounders on a season-long loan. Malaga will receive 150,000 euros, then a further two million if they decide to purchase him at the end of the season.
