Two and a half weeks later than the men's team but with a whole month until the start of the new season, Malaga's women's team will return for preseason training next week.
The new squad, led by José Herrera in Segunda División Pro, will report back for medical examinations on Wednesday at the installations at La Rosaleda stadium. By Thursday, the players will be back in contact with the ball.
As has been the case in previous years, Malaga Femenino, now that they are back in the second tier, have doubts once more over where they can call home. They are in direct competition with the men's reserve side, Atlético Malagueño, and the two teams will alternate between the Malaga Football Federation grounds and the fields at El Viso during preseason.
Once the season starts, Femenino are expected to retain the Federation as their 'home' ground but this could still change.
