La Cala Resort and Golf Hotel in Mijas raised an impressive 8,800 euros during the recent Cudeca Cup Golf Tournament. Sixty-five players took part in the competition which provides a significant financial injection to the Cudeca Hospice each year. The amateur golf tournament, which took place on the coveted Campo Europa golf course at the beginning of June, has become one of the most relevant charity events on the Costa del Sol.
Participation in the tournament - divided into male and female categories - was open to all amateur players. Antonio María García Sánchez came first in the men's section, while the women's trophy was won by Mónica Peters.
The tournament was followed by a charity fundraising auction that offered numerous prizes donated by local and national golf courses. All money raised at the event will provide a new assistance vehicle for Cudeca's home care teams.
