Julen Lopetegui appointed as new Sevilla head coach

Former Spain and Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is back in management. On Tuesday he was appointed the new head coach of Andalusian side Sevilla, replacing the outgoing Pablo Machín.

Lopetegui, who famously left the Spain job on the dawn of the 2018 World Cup to join Los Blancos, was presented to fans and press on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old has been out of work since his sacking by Real Madrid in October, following an embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Clásico.
