The young tennis star from Rincón de la Victoria, Alejandro Davidovich, was knocked out of the French Open this week after losing to Australian Jordan Thompson.
His final match at Roland Garros lasted exactly two hours and eight minutes with the 19-year-old losing in straight sets. The defeat came after his previous loss against German Yannick Madden on Thursday last week.
"With a game of five sets, I didn't know how to manage my pace very well. I started very smoothly, but this has been a mistake from which I will learn for the future," said the young player.
Davidovich, however, is currently ranked 133 on the ATP tour.
Meanwhile in Paris, Spain's other tennis stars, Rafael Nadal and Garbiñe Muguruza continue their 2019 French Open campaign after winning each of their matches on Wednesday.
Nadal plays German David Goffin in the third round today, Friday and Muguruza's next opponent is Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
