Marbella's surge shows no sign of abating. The visitors to Tavalera have still not suffered defeat in the second half of the season after securing a resounding 3-0 win on Sunday.
David Cubillo's side took the lead early on when centre-back Lolo Pavón rose highest to head home Añón's corner in the third minute.
The hosts, chasing promotion, had a golden chance to equalise in the 22nd minute but Cristian Fernández, completely unmarked at the far post, inexplicably managed to miss the target, letting Marbella off the hook.
The game's second goal came just after the half-hour mark when Añón's high press forced an error in defence. The midfielder then laid off the ball to Juanma on the right who cut in and bagged his first of the game.
The forward, one of the stand-out performers on the day, then rounded off a faultless first half by scoring the goal which effectively ended the tie. A freekick from range was lofted into the penalty area where neither keeper Gianni nor his defenders took control of the situation, leaving Juanma free to shin the ball over the line.
The second half was a comparitively dull affair with Talavera seemingly throwing in the towel, maintaining possession, albeit without committing too many men forward.
Marbella, on the other hand, remained a threat a threat on the counterattack and both Isma and Añón passed up opportunities to bag the fourth.
As it was, the game ended 3-0 and sealed safety for the visitors who will continue to look up and set their sights on qualifying for next year's Copa del Rey.
