Marbella recorded a resounding 3-1 win as Ibiza were the visitors to the Estadio Antonio Lorenzo on Sunday afternoon. This was in no small part down to the work of forward Juanma whose first-half brace sent David Cubillo's side on their way to extending their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Provided with ammunition by wide men Paulo Vitor and Juergen, Juanma led the attacking charge which kept Ibiza on the back foot for much of the first half.

The hosts created a number of clear chances, none more so than the one which centre-back Dani Pérez inexplicably managed to fire over the bar from less than six yards out.

However, Juanma made amends in the 33rd minute with a tidy finish, turning inside the area before tucking the ball in off the inside of the post. The same man doubled the lead just seven minutes later as he headed home Juergens freekick from the left.

This provoked a double change from the visitors at the break but it was a Marbella change which led to the third goal of the game with Montero heading in Samu Delgados cross just a minute after replacing Juanma.

Debutant Samu de los Reyes was brought on for Marbella to try to extend the lead, but in the end the fourth and final goal of the game went the visitors way with Rodados flick looping over the head of home keeper Wilfred.

The win moves Marbella to within two points of their defeated rivals who sit in eighth place.
