Padilla's Marbella side returned to the Costa del Sol with unhappy memories from their trip to holiday island Ibiza having suffered a heavy 4-0 reversal on Sunday.
Ibiza coach Andrés Palop breathed new life into his team, having changed both personnel and formation in search of points after a slow start to their campaign.
The changes paid off with a lightning fast start in which the hosts went two goals up after just nine minutes.
Cirio scored the first after being picked out by a long ball by Candela as he peeled off into the space behind Marcos.
It was another penetrating pass that resulted in the second just three minutes later. Ibiza didn't allow Marbella any time to settle and Serra's through ball, though initially cut out by a defender, fell nicely for Rodado to slot past Wilfred.
Marbella, however, didn't throw in the towel and pressed high to put their hosts under pressure. But when Ibiza keeper Álex Sánchez came out on top in his one-on-one with Álex Bernal, Marbella lost their chance to get back in the game. If the midfielder had scored, it would for certain have been a different game.
As it was, the third goal arrived 12 minutes into the second half when a cross from the left was controlled by Rodado with his back to goal before he turned and directed the ball past Wilfred with a deft flick.
This proved to be the end of the match as a contest but worse was still to come for the visitors. After José Ramón's shot was blocked by the feet of the keeper, Ibiza launched a rapid counter attack which resulted in Javi Serra chipping the keeper for his side's fourth.
The win for Ibiza moves them to within a point and a place of Marbella who sit in 12th.
