Malaga's women's side's return to the top flight is not going to plan. After a 4-0 defeat to reigning champions Atlético Madrid on the opening day, the Costa del Sol side lost again on Sunday in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad.
The Basque side were on top from start to finish, taking the lead as early as the eighth minute after Nahikari brussed herself down to convert the penalty she won after being brought down by Leticia.
The go-ahead goal then invited a deluge of pressure from the home side Nahikari again at the centre of the action, striking one shot over and putting the in a delicious cross which no forward had anticipated.
When the forward was brought down again in the area, this time by Encarni, she was denied the penalty.
Seven minutes into the second half, La Real made their margin more comfortable when Soldevila converted Manu's cross inside the six-yard box (2-0).
Despite the setback, the visitors showed more after the break and could have got a goal back when Diéguez misjudged her keeper's block on Leticia's shot and almost put through her own net.
However, it was a moment of disorganisation at the other end which resulted in La Real's third. The Malaga backline were left flatfooted, appealing for offside, as Nahikari gathered the ball in front of Chelsea whom she beat in the one-on-one.
These individual errors drew the ire of coach Antonio Contreras who said: "I am a bit angry about the result because there were a lot of situations our players should have done better on."
