Following the signing of Badr Boulahroud last week, Malaga are stepping up their recruitment drive and have completed the signing for Portuguese winger Renato Santos.
A three-year deal for Santos has been agreed and the Portuguese winger completed the transfer after passing a medical on Tuesday.
"I've always dreamt of playing in Spain," he said at his presentation on Wednesday.
At 26, Santos, who joins from Portuguese first division side Boavista, is expected to slot straight into the starting eleven on the right-hand side of midfield given his reputation for operating in tight spaces and breaking down the type of compact defences Malaga will regularly take on in Segunda this coming season.
"I would like to thank the player," said sporting director José Luis Caminero. "He had a lot of offers on the table but he wanted to come here. I think he's someone the fans are going to like a lot so we're happy."
A graduate of the famous Sporting Lisbon academy, Santos was shipped out on loan to Rio Ave, Moreirense, Deportivo Aves and Tondela before completing a free transfer move to Boavista in 2015.
Since then, he has made 91 appearances in the Portuguese top flight, scoring 14 goals.
