The 29-year-old, who was a free agent after his contract with Numancia came to an end, is the commanding stopper Malaga have identified to replace Roberto whose loan from Espanyol concluded after Malaga's relegation.
Born in Melilla, but with 31 Morocco caps under his belt, Munir was selected ahead of Girona's Bono and played all three group games for his country at the recently-concluded World Cup Finals.
He will compete for a starting place with Andrés Prieto (who was Roberto's deputy last year), with youngsters Kellyan and Álvaro Fernández waiting in the wings.
Turkish keeper Cenk Gönen, who was third choice last season, is expected to complete a return to his homeland imminently.
