The inline hockey season reached its conclusion in Seville at the weekend as the junior playoffs were contested.
With victory in all three categories for the Fuengirola Lions, it rounded off a spectacular season during which the team won all five of the competitions in which it played: Liga Sur, Liga Andaluza senior, Liga Andaluza infantil, Liga Andaluza alevín and Liga Andaluza benjamín.
The Liga Sur season was this year contested across venues in Murcia, Águilas, Cartagena, Fuengirola, and Seville, while the Liga Andaluza was played in the latter two. Next season, another rink in Chiclana (Cadiz) is expected to be added.
The recruitment of new players for next season has already begun and despite the Lions' overwhelming success, no previous hockey experience is needed as all teams welcome complete novices.
