English International College ran out the winners last week as Novaschool Sunland hosted the largest ever Interschool Cross Country Championships, with 12 schools and some 565 competitors in attendance.
Students took part in eight different categories across a one-kilometre course which comprised roads, compact soil and rocky areas around the school's grounds in Estación de Cártama.
Having not won the competition for two years, EIC returned as victorious champions, with Millie Dobson (Year 6) setting a new course record.
Overall, EIC topped the standings with 333, the hosts Novaschool came in second with 404, followed by Aloha College (460) and Sotogrande International School (652).
The other participating schools were the British International School, Swans International School, The British School, Sunny View School, Laude International School, Sotogrande International School, St Anthony's College, Almuñécar International School and Queens British Grammar School.
