After seven years of hold-ups, building on Malaga's long-awaited Academy project is set to start. This comes after the club finally resolved issues with its foundation, the owners of the project, and signed a deal with a construction company.
Bilba, with whom Hamyan Al-Thani signed the deal on Wednesday, will be responsible for the contruction of the buildings, but not the three pitches - these will be left to sporting specialists.
The first phase of the project, of which there are three, is expected to get under way imminently, with the whole project expected to be completed by July.
The new 4.5-million-euro complex will be built on land in the Arraijanal district of Malaga, close to the city's airport.
