Luis Rioja secures Marbella's rise to third in their division

The team from Marbella are rising up their table thanks to this brilliant second half, in which they scored three goals

The third consecutive victory for Marbella, as they beat Écija 3-0 was a match with an extraordinary second half in which they could have scored even more goals than they did. Luis Rioja was the man of the match. He scored the first goal and provided an assist for Ferrón in the second. All of this cemented Marbella's move to third place in their division of the league.

Marbella's first goal was offside however this happened within the first five minutes, so they were looking strong from the beginning. After this good start for Marbella, Écija woke up a bit. Moyita, Manu Reina and Ezequiel began to create space on the field, getting three chances against a very strong Wilfred.

The second half was a whole other story. Marbella played with excellent coordination and determination, making it seem like only one team was playing. Two minutes after half-time, Luis Rioja scored a goal thanks to great playing and a strong push from his team. Marbella's next two goals, both scored by Ferrón, were scored within minutes of each other, securing Marbella's win in their best match of the season.

Marbella will next play Recreativo de Huelva on Sunday, at 5 pm, at the Nuevo Colombino.
