Marbella recorded a second consecutive win to keep pace with the leaders at the top of Segunda B IV on Sunday as they saw off Linense on their travels.

The Costa side had a game plan and executed it perfectly. They set up with two compact banks of four, behind the ever lively duo of Ferrón and Chus Hevia, and were able to stop the hosts from playing their usual game based on a high intensity.

It was a game punctuated by several breaks in play and, as a result, very few goalscoring opportunities.

In the first half, the hosts were denied by a superb interception from Alonso, putting the ball out for a corner when Zamorano looked certain to score.

At the other end, a misunderstanding between Marbella's forwards prevented them from taking advantage of Linense's mishap in central defence.

However, Linense were not so fortunate at the start of the second half; this time Corpas breached the offside trap before feeding Luis to score.

From this moment on, the visitors showed very little, getting men behind the ball and battling for every 50-50, resulting in an impressive clean sheet which keeps them just two points off leaders Cartagena.
