The Field of Dreams Community Football Club in Mijas is celebrating a treble after three of their junior teams triumphed in their respective leagues this season.
The community football club encourages children to develop their skills in order to play high-level football, and the hard work has obviously paid off, because they have just completed their best season yet.
The under 10s, 12s and 14s all finished top of their leagues and nobody was more pleased than the club’s founder, Matt Gore.
“I am so proud of all of our players; they have worked so hard and are always looking to improve themselves. This makes what we do all worthwhile,” the coach explained.
However, the club still has one hurdle to overcome. They are desperate to find a local business to sponsor the trophies for the winning teams.
“We are currently looking for companies or people to sponsor trophies or just to make a donation so that we can reward these children for all of their hard work,” Matt said.
The presentation will be held at Finca Naundrup in Calahonda on Sunday 4 June.
