Miguel Álvarez was officially presented as Marbella's new head coach last week after the club terminated the contract of Mehdi Nafti.
The 58-year-old from Jáen has plenty of experience in Segunda B, having previously been at the helm of Terrassa, Lorca Deportiva, Badalona, Hospitalet, Leganés, Sant Andreu and, last season, Sabadell.
"It feels like I've won the lottery," he says. "I've gone from watching 'Sálvame' with my wife at home to here, coaching Marbella FC."
The new man, who grew up in Catalonia, admitted that he didn't intend to instill new ideas into the players, but rather "build on the good work that they have been doing already."
