Añón's second goal of the season gave Marbella a narrow 1-0 victory over El Ejido at the Estadio Santo Domingo on Sunday.
The 30-year-old midfielder was a constant threat to the El Ejido defence throughout the match, and decisively put the visitors ahead after just eight minutes.
The goal forced the dogged home side to play through the lines in search of an equaliser, but a lack of precision in the final third and a solid Marbella rearguard prevented any opportunities arising for the home side.
At the other end the visitors could have extended their lead before the break, but they spurned the couple of good opportunities that they created.
The flow of the game did not alter after the break, with El Ejido attempting to force the issue while Marbella defended deeply and broke when the opportunity arose.
Just as in the first half, it was the visitors who enjoyed the better chances in the second. Añón's direct free-kick was dealt with by El Ejido goalkeeper García, before the 25-year-old was forced into action again to turn Okoye's fierce shot from inside the area behind for a corner.
El Ejido could have levelled right at the death, but Emilio Cubo could only direct his volley over the bar from the edge of the penalty area.
The result strengthened Marbella's position in third place and leaves them trailing Lorca FC and leaders Cartagena by just one point after the former beat Granada B 2-1, while the latter could only manage a 1-1 draw away at La Roda.
Next up for Marbella is the visit of La Roda to the Municipal next Sunday at 5pm.
