International men's hockey comes to Malaga this week

Ireland, France and Spain are playing a series of friendly matches at Benalmádena’s Retamar pitch and at Malaga's Carranque sports centre until Friday

The men's national sides of Ireland, France and Spain have come together to compete in a triangular series of friendly matches at Benalmádena's Retamar pitch and Malaga's Carranque sports centre.

Fixtures

  • 29 January Spain v France in Benalmádena, 4pm

  • 30 January France v Ireland in Benalmádena, 4pm

  • 31 January Spain v Ireland in Malaga, 4pm

  • 1 February Spain v France in Benalmádena, 4pm

  • 2 February France v Ireland in Malaga, 4pm

  • 3 February Spain v Ireland in Benalmádena, 1pm

Organised by the Royal Spanish Hockey Federation and On Sports Consulting, the series will run until 3 February.

Spain took on France in the opening game which ended in an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Spectators are welcome and entrance is free, with all matches starting at 4pm, except for on 3 February, which starts at 1pm.

There is also the opportunity to attend an open training session with the national sides, as well as local teams, at Benalmádenas Hockey Club on 2 February.
