The new year brings change for golfer Azahara Muñoz who this week announced that she would be changing trainer.
Despite being under the orders of Marcelo Prieto for the entirety of her career so far, the pair will be going their separate ways.
Muñoz confirmed on her blog that Bob Lohr would be her new coach, on the suggestion of Prieto. "The decision was complicated. In fact, it was more his idea than mine and that only goes to show that he is an honest man," she said. "He told me that he thought it was for the best for my career, that we needed something fresh."
Bob Lohr was a professional himself on the PGA Tour, winning a tournament in 1988. Muñoz, from San Pedro, is currently number 50 in the world rankings.
