A 27-year-old woman was seriously injured after being rammed by a bull that had escaped from a cattle ranch in the Andalusian town of Gerena. The young woman was admitted to the Virgen Macarena hospital in Seville.
Four other people were injured in the incident on Saturday, 3 April, before the animal was finally captured by residents in the area.
Guardia Civil, Local Police and the parademics were alerted to the incident by a call to the 112 Andalucia emergency control centre.
According to the health services the group was hiking in a rural area when the bull attacked.
The police have opened an investigation to try to clarify what happened.
According to the ABC newspaper, the animal was a two-year-old calf and belongs to the Marqués de Albaserrada ranch. Apparently, it escaped through a broken fence.
