"This is a significant number of vaccines," stressed the Minister of Health, who added that each week the number of doses available will increase. Darias also recogned the "efforts" that are being made by all the regions "that have not stopped vaccinating, not even this Easter week".

By Saturday the regions had administered a total of 8,548,598 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer / BioNtech, Moderna and AstraZeneca. This represents 88.2 per cent of the 9,689,995 doses delivered to Spain.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, by Friday (2 April) a total of 2,841,148 people had received their complete dose of two vaccines.
