Covid-19: Andalucía adds 940 new cases and 13 deaths

Andalucía registered 940 new positive cases of Covid-19 coronavirus this Sunday (28 Febuary), a figure slightly lower than the 1,097 of the day before and the 1,220 of seven days ago.

The official data from the Junta de Andalucía also recorded 13 deaths, much lower than the 38 of Saturday and 39 a week ago.

By province, Cadiz and Cordoba have registered the most deaths, with five each, followed by Almeria with two and Jaén with one.

The 940 positive tests for the virus are the third lowest figure for the week after the 1,097 on Saturday, 1,197 on Friday, 1,256 on Thursday, 1,311 on Wednesday, 634 on Tuesday and 650 on Monday.

Granada is the province that has added the most infections, with 193, followed by Seville with 171, Malaga with 162, Almeria 126, Cadiz with 109, Jaén with 82, Cordoba with 68 and Huelva with 29.

Andalucía has 1,742 patients hospitalised with coronavirus, 150 fewer than on Saturday and down 591 on seven days ago. Of those 438 are in an intensive care unit, 13 down on the day before and 143 fewer than a week ago.
