The Junta de Andalucía's Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre, has announced that, as of this Thursday (25 February), the regional government will start to vaccinate people in their own homes if they cannot travel to an established Covid-19 vaccination point.
Speaking to journalists in Cordoba, Aguirre explained that the Junta de Andalucía had called on "the Government of Spain during the last Interterritorial Council", and also "the Pfizer laboratories, to change the advice to allow health workers to take pre-filled Pfizer doses to people’s homes and be able to inject them."
The Minister of Health said, "We have now received the authorisations and we are ready to vaccinate the group of elderly dependents at home.”
Aguirre clarified, it will be "a small volume of people" who cannot leave home to be vaccinated.
