  • The incidence rate for coronavirus infection has dropped in the region, but there are still towns and villages with limited mobility or the closure of non-essential activities for at least another week from 19 February

The Junta de Andalucía's Public Health Alert committees of the eight provinces met again on Thursday (18 February) to update the measures and restrictions that are applied in municipalities to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

As the cumulative incidence rate for the virus is down, practically throughout the region, there are now fewer municipalities that have mobility limitations (preventing people from leaving or entering the town without a justified reason) or that are forced to close their non-essential activities including bars, restaurants and shops.

In a surprise move the new measures came into effect a day early this Friday morning (19 February) instead of the usual Saturday following the evaluations.

The new restrictions will be in place for another seven days when incidence rates will be reviewed again and measures could be eased, remain the same or toughened depending on the data.

This is the situation by group of measures and by province.
