More than 14,000 health professionals from all over Andalucía are being trained ready for the start of mass vaccinations against coronavirus that the Andalusian government intends to announce soon.

They are taking part in the second edition of a massive online learning course to update their knowledge and techniques of this type of vaccination. More than 10,500 professionals have already completed the first part of the course.

The teaching addresses aspects related to the handling, preparation and administration of the new vaccines, as well as special situations.

The training programme is open to both professionals from the Andalusian public health system and those who practise in the private health sector.

Of those registered, 90 per cent work in the public health system and nursing staff account for the majority with 72 per cent of the total.
