Renfe has announced the suspension throughout this Saturday, of rail services to and from Madrid due to heavy snowfall and excessive accumulation of snow along the line caused by the storm 'Filomena'.
The decision, taken due to the accumulation of snow along the line caused by the storm 'Filomena', affects the high-speed service, long and medium distance trains, as well as the Cercanías service of the capital.
Similarly, the suspension of the high-speed trains between Andalucía and Catalonia has been announced.
The Renfe spokesman told Europa Press that a review of the cancellation of services suspension will be updated in the coming hours.
Airport and roads
The Madrid Barajas airport has decided to stop all its operations throughout Saturday due to the ice and snow that has accumulated on the runways, low visibility and the weather forecast for the next few hours, according to airport operator Aena.
