The postponed 'Clásico' game between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid took place on Wednesday night, despite fears that protests by organised separatist groups around the ground in the Catalan capital could force the game to be cancelled.
Hundreds of extra police were drafted in as 5,000 protesters, fewer than expected, gathered near the Nou Camp.
There were limited disturbances outside, and inside some fans succeeded in unfurling large secessionist banners. The match ended in a goalless draw.
