University teachers held over ‘false cancer drug’

Five people, including two teachers at the Universidad de las Islas Baleares on Mallorca, have been arrested on suspicion of fraud involving the sale of a supposed cancer drug. The accused allegedly benefited from the 600,000 euros income from the medicine that was claimed to have curative properties. The drug was sold via a non-profit-making foundation and was not licensed.
