Fire blazes near the A-7 in Marbella

A fire has broken out this Monday, 26 July, in Marbella, between the Guadalmina Alta and Benahavís areas, north of the A-7 tunnel as it passes through San Pedro de Alcántara.

A fire-fighting helicopter, a group of specialist forest firefighters and regular firefighters are tackling the blaze that was reported at 6.30pm in the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina area.

The fire, and its proximity to several homes, has led several people to contact the emergency services control centre.

According to SUR sources, there are no injuries reported.
