  • The Covid-19 tests will be carried out on a random sample of residents in the two Costa del Sol towns

The Junta de Andalucía's Ministry of Health will carry out two mass screening sessions for the Covid-19 virus this Friday (9 July) in the Costa del Sol towns of Marbella and Benahavis.

Experts have called for the test sessions after detecting a rise in coronavirus infections in these areas.

Antigen tests will be used, which allows the result to be known in about 15 minutes, and they will be carried out in one of the Junta’s mobile coronavirus screening units.

Participants in the voluntary screenings have been randomly selected and will be summoned with a specific appointment via SMS text message. It is important to note that only the notified people should attend the tests.

The mobile unit will be in the car park of the Marbella Conference Centre from 10am to 2.30pm, before moving to Benahavis from 5 to 7.30pm.
