Since 1990 Russia has celebrated its national day on 12 June and this year Marbella is getting in on the act through a collaboration with the Eureka association and the council's Foreign Residents department.
The event will take place at the Glorieta de La Fontanilla, next to the Tourist Office and the statue of La Venús, between 4 and 10pm.
One of the main attractions this Saturday will be the installation of a 200-square-metre interactive map which allows participants to explore Moscow in real time with the help of professional guides in both Russian and Spanish. Up to 80 people at a time can visit it on the pier from 6pm.
Other attractions include the opportunity to sample Russian music, dance and gastronomy.
